Pinnacle Maintenance on May 19, 2020 from 5 – 9am

Pinnacle will be unavailable during a platform upgrade on May 19th from 5am-9am.

Webmail software maintenance on May 12, 2020 from 9 – 10pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

Webmail software will be updated in a non-disruptive manner to address security and bug fixes.

Donald Bren Hall Building Router Maintenance on May 12, 2020 from 7 – 8am

Purpose:

Services Affected:

Network Engineers are reloading network equipment that serves Donald Bren Hall (building 314). Wired and wireless network services in the building will be unavailable while the building router reboots. We expect the outage duration to be roughly 15 minutes.

UPS Panel Outlets Install on May 16, 2020 from 5 – 9am

Purpose:

Services Affected:

On Saturday 5/16/20, we will be installing several new outlets on the UPS-A power panel in Central Plant data center for power going to new racks.

The work should be non-disruptive as only one power source will be shut off for the work (the UPS Panel). The campus power leg will still be up and running, and secondary power connections to campus power will be verified on all systems before the work day.

The panel will be shut off around 5 AM, when electricians will connect wiring to the new breakers; the panel will be flipped on again by 9 AM.

Parking website maintenance on May 5, 2020 from 6:30 – 6:45pm

Apps.parking.uci.edu and parking.uci.edu will be unavailable due to site maintenance.

Campus VPN Maintenance on May 9, 2020 from 6 – 7am

Purpose:

Services Affected:

On Saturday May 9th at 6 am, OIT security personnel will be making a change to the Campus VPN to improve performance. This will cause all active sessions to disconnect and have to be re-started. If there are unexpcted problems and we roll back, ther may be an additional change that causes active sesssion to disconnect. We are reserving a half-hour, from 6 am till 6:30 am of maintenance time to complete this project.

Sites.uci.edu and faculty.sites.uci.edu maintenance on May 5, 2020 from 7:30 – 8am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

OIT will be performing a software upgrade to oit.uci.edu, sites.uci.edu and faculty.sites.uci.edu. While we do not foresee any disruption of service, this upgrade will take place before business hours (7:30 AM PST) to reduce any potential impact on the UCI community.

UCPath Planned Maintenance on April 29, 2020 at 10pm to May 5, 2020 at 8am and May 22, 2020 at 10 pm to May 27, 2020 at 12pm

Services Affected:

All faculty, staff, student employees and job applicants (for those locations on TAM) will not have any access to UCPath online.
